# Install Livy and get it running

This guide is your starting point. It takes you from installing to having your program up and running, in order and without detours.

  <Step title="Install the app">
    Find Livy in the ***Shopify App Store*** and install it in your store. Installing it doesn't touch your theme's code.

  <Step title="Review your points program">
    When you installed Livy, the onboarding already set up your points program with initial values. So this step is just to review it: go to "**Points Program**" and confirm how points are earned and redeemed. If you want, give them a custom name or adjust whatever you need.

    You'll find the details in the "[**Configure your points program**](/en/guides/points-program)" guide.

  <Step title="Show Livy in your store">
    So your customers can see how many points they earn per purchase and can redeem them, go to the "**Store**" section in the Livy app. There you'll see all the components available to show in your store, each with its own instructions to activate it.

  <Step title="Turn on the automations">
    In "**Automations**" you turn on whatever is useful to you, so they work on their own in the background helping you: recover carts, capture sign-ups with the popup, and reactivate inactive customers. You can turn them on one at a time and turn them off whenever you want.

  <Step title="Set up your brand and your emails">
    In "**Configurations**" you can load your brand's main color, the logo and the sender name so your emails look personalized. There you also choose the language Livy uses to talk to your customers in emails: Spanish or English.

  <Step title="Import your current customers">
    If you're coming from another tool, import your customers and their points from "**Customers**". That way you start with your base already loaded.

With these steps your program is up and running. From here Livy works in the background and you track everything from Home.
